Niche Drinks owns the St. Brendan's Cream stuff on the Waterside, AFAIK.

Aye, they've been on about it for a good few years.
Would be great to have a distillery back in the town.  Used to be loads back in the day.

QuoteChair of the planning committee, councillor Thomas Conway, said the development would provide a boost to the rural economy. "This is an important business for the agriculture sector. They source their milk locally for the liquor and will source the grain locally for the whiskey. It is a very welcome development," he told councillors.

Ok lads, I'm lost. Anyone mind explaining this to me? Milk??

Alright, that penny's finally dropped. The milk is presumably used in their existing "cream liquer", and not in their yet-to-be released whiskey.

Rafters offy has it.
Marks and Spencer used to have it as their own brand Irish cream, but they might have changed recently.

"Local" grain too. Malting barley isn't grown further north than Co Kildare.

They could be chatting about the same guy Geterbrewed is looking into.
