QuoteSorry to hi-jack but did anyone ever try to use one of these as a bulk fermenter?

I'd like to convert one of these to a boiler
I just need 40 Argos kettles  ;)
now where did I put that 16kg bag of hops?

I saw a video of Brewdog making Sink the Bismark in one of those! Froze it for ages and drew off the higher alcohol stuff!
To brew: Bohemian Lager, Munich Dunkel, Oatmeal / Milk Stout, Hefeweizen
Fermenting: Imperial IPA
Conditioning:
Serving:Munich Helles (Helles Bells), Oatmeal Stout

Just to save Ciderhead answering this.

These when new are food grade. So lets say they go off to a jam maker. Filled with jam and marmalade and stuff, then they arrive on the S/H market.

If you but one of these then no problems - no health risk.

However some of these may go into the pharmaceutical industry and then the S/H market.

Thats the problem! You don't know what was in them before.

Jam OK, Female hormones??  :o
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing
