Quote from: paolomoran on April 20, 2025, 07:04:50 PMHi all, for a single entry what is the bottle size needed and how many do we need to send in? I know for some of these competitions we need to submit 2-3 bottles per entry. Also, do we just show up with our entry on the day or do we need to drop off the bottles in advance somewhere.
Thanks,
Paul

You will need to submit your beer in two 500ml brown glass bottles with crown caps or fliptops. The bottles should have no labels, embossing or other identifying marks. When we have the entry website up and running you can print out your entry number and attach it to the bottles using a rubber band.

Bottles will have to be delivered a few days before the competition to allow for them all to be sorted. There'll be various designated places/people around the country where bottles can be dropped off. We'll announce locations when we know them! We'll also accept postal entries from anywhere on the island of Ireland.

Quote from: Southyeaster84 on April 17, 2025, 08:05:45 PMIn the absence of X5 NZ Pilsener in the list, do you think it would be acceptable to enter one under 2A International Pale Lager?

You should enter your beer in whatever BJCP category best matches the flavour and aroma of your beer - it doesn't have to be the style you originally intended it to be. So American Lager, International Pale Lager, German Pils, Czech Pale Lager etc are all possible categories depending on which one you think best matches your beer.
