Yeast Board / Re: Dank IPA Yeast Selection

I recently done a split batch Citra smash with verdant vs us05 and personally preferred us05. I felt the hops shone through a lot more, it tasted fresher and juicier, it cleared up better. It's my third time using verdant and I don't really rate it tbh.

if its a choice between verdant and us05, i'd go us05 for the lower esters.

Hi Marek,

Welcome to the NHC. I also advise joining the discord, It's getting busier by the day.

As mentioned by TheSumOfAllBeers, you could join the Limerick/Tipp/Clare brewers. We plan to meet in Limerick City when it is possible to do so. There is also an active Whatsapp group with people of all experiences if you would like to join us.

Any advice on more suitable pressures?

Thanks

Stick it on at 8 psi and leave it there for a week. That should do it and give you something close to 2.2 volumes of pressure which is roughly where you want to be with a stout.

Have a google for a force carbonation chart. It gives you temps and psi to reach a certain carbonation level

It'll be over carbonated at those times and temps.

It would be in the fridge.. so 3-5 degrees.

Any idea what the nitrogen pressure should be at? Regular stout pressure?
