Just tidying up....gonna be a quiet one by the looks of things :-[

Delzep's stout, one to rival my own was the consensus.
Lovely..... Could have had it all night.

Is there such thing as a loser in a stout off if they both taste good?  ;D

Nice dark lager/pils tube hit the spot

Saruman (Reuben Gray)

Shane, will you update the twitter directory now that LiffeyBrewers is back?

Also it would be nice to have a sticky in each club forum listing all members who are on twitter.

Another great day at yeasterday's Liffey Valley meetup; smaller number than usual, but quality tastings; top of the class must go to Delzep for a really delish rich, chewy stout (very protective of the recipe tho, watch out for that in the 2014 comp!); Tubes dark lager was another pleasant surprise; and Saruman's "Recreation" also very tasty; and indeed Robrew's hoppy APA was another example of how good hacked kits can be.  ;)
A highlight for me was getting presented with my Beersmith Voucher, thank you Brad Smith, looking forward to progressing on and putting it to good use
Thanks again to our great host Gerry, a true gentleman. Oh, and thanks Shane for the hop rhizome, i have a soft spot for that... in a south-facing position in the back garden
;D

Speaking of Cheese in Beer...

I was treated to lunch out on Friday and had a Beef Salad with Roquefort cheese, very nice.

Later on, in the Well, Mr Happy produced a Belgian which on the nose,  I thought there was a note of cheese and specifically Roquefort.

Lo and behold, the yeast was Roquefort.

The Beer... Lovely!

Dunno about there being a loser, but there is always a clear winner... The drinker!!
