I brewed a brewferm Oud Vlaams Bruin a while back. In spite of rigorous cleaning, I think the bucket is still sour. Bottled a stout recently and there a sour taste on it . Is the fermenter to be forever sour now?

It's best if you don't mix sour kit with non-sour kit

What method and material do you use for sanitizing/cleaning your equipment? Some of the people here swear that using lidl w5 is the best stuff ever and economical too. Others here use a light bleach/water/vinegar mix to do the same thing. Were you using a glass or plastic fv for the sour beer? There is a bit of a discussion here about glass vs plastic fv with regard to sour beer http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,2329.msg40521.html#msg40521

Plastic. I had used starsan. I will try a few methods but have resigned myself to using this fermenter only for sours. Thanks

Eoin

With plastic, that's a good decision.

Now, all we have to do is figure out which one is the sour one...

Perfumed Ponce.
