Title: Anyone have a tried and tested Coffee Stout recipe?
Post by: bazbart on January 21, 2019, 10:53:02 PM
Hi,

I'm thinking my next brew is going to be a coffee stout. Had a few Black Bear Coffee Stouts over the Christmas and think it could be the next on the list. Would anyone have a recipe that has worked well for them in the past that they wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks again!

Brown malt can bring out a good coffee flavour

I made the extract with steeping grains version. I also did not bother forking out for Kona coffee. Instead I just bought a decent 100g bag of Sumatran coffee from Tesco. Turned out great. Would definitely make it again.

Did you follow the exact chocolate additions that are listed in this recipe?
