The Luas!

Terminus of the Dublin & Lucan Tramway was for many years outside the Spa Hotel. The other end was Parkgate St., just outside the entrance to Phoenix Park.

For a brief period the terminus was moved west to Main St in Leixlip, but was unprofitable. The rails were lifted and became part of the very extensive, but now also lost, Cork tram network.

Super pics.
According to my Dad, one of the worst mistakes they made in Dublin was lifting/burying the tramlines.

Dublin Trams used symbols to indicate routes this was to help the many Dubliners who could not read.
