Got two of these from my sis in the US but would like a few more, anybody else purchased them this side of the pond?

I have seen homemade ones using a tyre valve, but you would still need fitting for end of the gas which would be a pain :(

I guess if you brew 23 or 25 litre batches & get 19 L in a keg you'd bang the left overs into some 2 or 3 litre plastic bottles & carb them. Am I right in saying then that when you'd drank a bit of your corny you can top up with these bottles of brew? (I hope thats what there for as thats why Im buying them)

you screw them down on top of a 2 or 3 litre bottle. I use a spanner to make sure they are tight as I put 3 bar on them

At the mo it I am carbing water it takes 3 days at 3 bar for 2 litres to be farty, 2 days for Peligrino

There are vids on youtube of lads carbing 2L bottles of water. Shaking the bottle upside down for about 30 seconds with the gas on also works.
Yes just replace with normal cap once its done

When you get your kegs you'll see you only get 19l in a keg, if you make a 23/25 litres you will want a home for the rest :)

I got one of these off blackbrew from last time he was in the US. I used it for the first time last night. Gave it a quick blast and shake at about 12psi last night, stuck it in the fridge and another blast/shake this morning. Will see what the beer is like for the meetup this evening, and will report back.
Tilt your bottle on side it absorbs better, please report back your findings good and bad

Looking foreward! Just need a warm day as there will be a lot of water. As this is not strictly a hydraulic test (relatively safe) it will involve water and compressed gas (less safe) and a propensity for getting soaked.

Professor, the caps are not rated above 3 bar for retention of pressure.
I supply Beverage Plastics in NI who make bottles for CC and the other majors and they work 2L PET bottles 150psi or 10 bar.
It will look like a rugby ball long before that.
Lots of factors determine performance but please look at this before you or anybody attempts :(

She uses it for sparkling water at carb levels from Pellegrino to Dunnes finest fart, 4 days in cold at 2 bar
I use it if I was to force carb quickly a coopers bottle to see what in tastes like instead of waiting a couple of days for the keg.
an odd time I've done fizzy for the kids, or even recarbed flat tonic for the mother law, (she cant tell)

Ok, Malahide laboratory has passed the product, a comment was that very occasionally it requires keg lube to ensure a perfect seal at very high pressures.
I have got a slightly better cost and on todays exchange rate is €9.5 so with the addition of €1 for NHC please pay into the NHC bank or paypal account "MARKED AS GIFT" €10.50 per item.
They arrive in the country on the 11th of May and will be distributed after that point.
Closing date for payment is 24th, 3 weeks from today.

A tip for all, C02 goes best into bottle when bottle is on its side in the fridge.
An odd swipe of keg lube will ensure your cap remains watertight.
I can fully carb a 2 litre bottle at 2 bar in about 3-4 days

Was kegging a batch of oatmeal choc stout and had about a liter or so over so filled a bottle and carbed it overnight. was perfect. can see these things coming in very handy.
