Title: Foam Stout Nirto pour
Post by: aweisse on September 03, 2016, 07:02:52 PM
Haveing a small problem with a Stout i brewed. Its my first time trying to serve via Nitrogen 70:30 mix , ive 7 metres of Beer Line 5/16 and i have it running through a cooler.

So im getting leakage at the tap and glass full of foam. I did carb the stout to just less than one volume of C02. Could the pressure at the regulator be set too high.(i have a preset regulator)

Looks like your getting leakage at the tap because you don't have everything assembled in the tap tightly. Dissemble the tap and also check if there are any o-rings that are shrunk or damaged. Have a similar problem with serving on nitro that eventually goes away after the first ten pints. I put it down to over carbing the base beer to begin with.

Try open the nitro tank, then close it and burp the corny a bit. That will drop the pressure so you can test if that's the problem

+1 on what Shanna says you are getting air in the tap and a seal has gone or it's not assembled correctly
