I need an ale yeast of some description for the weekend? I want a large amount to pitch at 55l, I want to overpitch so was hoping someone might have a litre or so of slurry? Preferably UK yeast. I can't find any of my demijohns to make a starter.
Pulled my dry stout off Irish ale 004 today.

Are you at the AGM?
Although coming to think of it, I want to do a light ale... Don't want the colour influence from stout...
Want a few packs of Nottingham?

I think l might do Mark.
I might try the place in glasnevin for that. I'm a big fan of slurry cos it gets busy very fast.
I dumped a fine batch of Nottingham slurry today. Unfortunate timing.

Crap.
I've some dry sachets if you don't get a better offer. I've limited availability over the weekend with travel and other obligations though.

I'll try to buy my own sachets this weekend at the place in glasnevin.

Gervin Ale yeast is rebranded Notty, and a lot cheaper.
Yes, at this stage it's a case of getting any at all from a HBS.

His selection is very small, only Gervin and mauribrew ale. I had to get mauribrew as he didn't have enough Gervin for me.
You could blend yeasts. I've done it in the past with dry. Can't say I really noticedmuch of a difference.
I ended up getting Ale 514 from Mottly brew, then screwing it up by breaking my thermometer in it and then in the end Mark bailed me out with a few packs of Nottingham/Gervin, so I got there in the end, thanks all.
