Regulators,
ebay 35 euros new last time I looked, just search co2 reg

From China, also on ebay, co2 reg about 15 euros inc shipping but may be safer with an EU safety certified one! This is an area you need to be carefull with you dont want the high pressure side popping, may just pop ur head off on the way! Buy a good approved reg.

@RAH: Great find especially the new valves. These are a bit scarce. So now you could pop over to D&D with the new valve and either your old cylinder with faulty or wrong valve or one of the FeX bottles with a brand new valve

Can I advise be careful with a 2kg cylinder. from experience the 2kg cylinder ( sold by aquariam shop at red cow) has only 1.4kg of gas in it.
The cylinders I cited above have a full 5 or 6 kilo of liquid gas which ever you buy. Also a refil is 20 quid per cylinder regardless of cylinder size so its better value just go for the 5 or 6k unless u need something small and handy then go for small one at the much higher cost.
hope this helps

Anybody bought one of these regs? do they have a blow off safety valve similar to the top of your corny which allow a blow off and purge?
issues reported by HB's in the US about cheap welding regs with no blow-off exploding?
Bought this reg (http://www.adverts.ie/crazy-random-stuff/co2-gas-regulator-for-homebrew-craft-beer/2214570) during the week, good quality but critically has blow off

Will D&D fit a new valve and certify an old tank?

D&D are so busy they will expect u to just take a new one from them for a very good value 60 euros!  But give them a ring anyway.

The blow off valves may blow too soon if you are trying to force carbonate so it may be wise to check the specs and see at what pressure the blow off valve releases. I have a reg with two blow off valves, one at 15 psi and the other blows at 25 psi.

It might depends on the regulator and what it was originally intended for. The one I use is an old Beamish one, which is on a long black high pressure hose from the gas tank rather than screwed directly onto the gas tank itself.
Maybe the springs are weakened in the safety valves allowing them release pressure sooner. I always wondered what the purpose of two blow off valves was, anyone any ideas why some regs have 2 safety valves?
Anyone know what the normal presure valves are on say a heineken keg?
Also I use guinness kegs and the silicone safety valve on the keg adapter blows out at 30-40 psi I think

CO2 Tanks and Refills

A.J. Edge Ltd (Bray)
Unit E Solus Tower Ind Est Bray Co Wicklow

From M11 take Bray turnoff, right at roundabout, at 1st set lights turn left, at bend in road turn right into industrial estate past Nypro and AJ Edge is first on Left

Specify you are Homebrewer and you were sent by NHC!
5KG Tank, reconditioned with new valve(28) 48 filled.
Fill your current 2-5kg tank 10, they would fill pub tanks I'm sure but more expensive.
Decent skins in there, never seen so many red tanks on the floor in my life, p.s. if you want to see a big C02 tank drive around the back ;)

I have updated D&D on the main post - they recently charged me 30 for a refill for a 5 kg tank - so unless someone can confirm the price has gone down ... probably best to leave it at 30. Simon mentioned that all tanks are charged the same regardless of size - but he was referring to 6kg and less. I have a small 2kg tank I got from norm - but the valve is a bit hooky - he said it would cost 30 to refill that one as well.

AJ Edge filled my "Norman tank (2kgs)" for a tenner ;)

I thought they only had the gas in connection , but then I saw this above it

Flexi-tap + Hose and OUT Disconnect

Is this a pin lock disconnect?
