Doing a black rock export pilsner kit at the weekend wondering if anyone done one what temp and what results did u have
It depends on what yeast is included. If it is a genuine lager yeast you will need to pitch and hold it between 10-15C
- - but that is very unusual in a kit beer.
I suspect its fermented in a 'blonde ale style' and therefore typical ale yeast temperatures of 17-20C should suffice.
- there is a lot of discussion on appropriate lagering temperature. Fast lagering will take the temperature higher than this, lager purists will sometimes take it lower still, down to 7C.
Thanks
