The Great Quintessential English Ales Competition

The Belfast Homebrewers wish to sample your finest English Bitter, Brown and Strong Ales (BJCP 2015 Style Guidelines; Category 11, Page 19-20; Category 13, Page 23-24 & Categories 17A, B & D, Page 30-32).

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed winners.

Maximum 60 entries.

6th November – Closing date for entries.

28th November – Judging at the Errigle Inn, Belfast.

£5/€5 per entry.

2 x 500ml brown bottles per entry (330ml bottles will be accepted for stronger styles).

1 entry per style per brewer.

If anyone is up for volunteering to judge or steward please PM.

Think I might just have time for a wee Landlord. If I start this Tuesday it should be ready.
Life moves pretty fast.....if you don't stop and look around once in a while....you could miss it.

I came back to the homeland for the weekend to see the folks and my dad revealed that he had two of my bitters still out in the garage. They must've been in the bottle three months. The bitterness seemed to improve but it completely lost it's head. I was expecting the complete opposite!

Lapped out of the TTL and went for a Taddy Porter instead. Bubbling away like a legend in my new stainless steel fermenter.
Life moves pretty fast.....if you don't stop and look around once in a while....you could miss it.
