Cheap pH meter

Ok so I'm picking up a few bits and pieces from China for the brewery  ;D

Anyone got a reccomendation for a cheap pH meter?

This is what dealextreme throws up, I'm considering this one

If memory serve me,I think there has being alot of comments on JBK about not buying cheap ones. :-/

Yeah, I remember reading some recommending not getting cheap ones. But to be honest I don't use mine much, and it's served me well so far.

If you do buy a cheap one then think about googling up some calibration solutions ( about €10 or so ).

Calibratable meters usually have 2 cal. points:

pH 4.0 and ph 10.0

Usually 3 solutions the two above plus pH 7.0

Its worth calibrating every couple of week or so.

Also: The working end of the meter needs to be kept wet in a storage solution ( usually quite acidic )

Also; You need a source of de-ionised water to rinse the sensor before/after use.

If theres no mention about calibration in the chinglish destructions then you may be better of with narrow range pH test strips!
