How to clean a carboy?

Any tips? I find cleaning the inside is a complete PITA.

I use a 6' length of (1/2" or 3/8" links)  length of brass chain.

Swirl this round with a bit of warm VWP and it scrubs off most crud.

Works on demi-johns and large glass flasks as well

A quick soak in warm water and oxi cleaner usually does it for me. I usually fill the carboy half way and rest it on its side, turning every few minutes. I don't think I've ever needed to use a brush with this method.

My piece of chain and a much smaller amount of cleaner sure saves the pennies - and as you get older it gets a lot lighter!

A half full carboy weighs what? about 12 Kg??

Warm oxi in half inverted carboy in a bucket for an hour and turned over for less soiled half.
