Hi Guys,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, but just wondering if you could suggest some good bars with a nice selection of beers in Belfast?
Heading up in mid-October for a work thing, it'll be based around the Hilton, and just wondering if there was anything in that area?

Thanks!

I think The Bot is the only pub in Belfast. Right?

My stab at Belfast craft bars:

The Brewbot - If you have a beard and brogues
The Errigle - If the brewbot is too intimidating.
The Woodworkers - If you are a student
The Sunflower - If you have a Che Guvera tshirt
The John Hewitt - If you are a poet
The Black Box - If you are in art school

Did I miss any bars/ sterotypes?

The Harp bar - If you are, or are looking for, a divorcee

Bazza

Laverys - If you lost your way back from the Woodworker toilets
Duke of York - If you're looking for a once decent place that's now full of hicks
Filthy McNastys - If you're looking for a bar that wrongly thinks its name is quirky and ironic, when it is in fact spot on
Hudson - If you like going into bars just to look at the taps in dismay and asking the barman 'what the hell happened?'
The Spaniard - If you like bars that are too full of their own self importance
Wetherspoons - If you're looking for cask ale and a kicking under the same roof
White's Tavern - If you just fancy the kicking.
The Dirty Onion - If you like puzzling over why drinking bad beer in an apparent building site is so popular
The National - If you like being reminded just how unattractive you really are.
Whatever it is, I'm against it.

The Hatfield - if you're a culchie

Because I have kids and a short leash, I had to get a takeaway from the Vineyard on the Ormeau Road, great establishment!
The guy there recommended Bittles beside Victoria square, but they had a no kids sign on the door, so I got stuck walking around Hollister & Pull & bear for 3/4 hours :-(

Bittles is a great bar. Room for about 3-7 people maximum. But has one of the best ranges of beer in Belfast, not to mention the whisky, and they charge reasonable amounts too

Wow, Hudson at #2 as recently as June last year. That's some fall from grace.

+1 on Bittles. Tiny, but great selection. Was down there 2 Saturdays ago.

Also worth a mention is Voodoo, behind Boots. Used to be Copperfields. Looks rough from the outside but does a great craft selection on draught. Saw the Sleaford Mods play there a couple of years ago. Good gig.

Thats good news on the GB bit.
