Location: The Harbour Bar, 1 Strand Road, Bray (opposite the harbour), in the snug behind the bar.

Date: Thursday 14th June @ 8.00pm

Any new members welcome, open to all.

Come on in for an evening of talking & tasting everything homebrewed.

If you have some brews you want to bring along for tasting, 2 x 500mL should do.

Last nights beers below.  Some quality beers there - Johns Vienna was a highlight for me but they were all really good beers, absolute quality

Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Think you're on the right direction with the Alt - looking at the description, quite close, possibly lighter in colour, but an amber hybrid-y thing.

Not brewed to a true style, just an easy summer drinker, using Mangrove Jacks M54 Cal Lager yeast.

I'd be interested to see your recipe for Black Sheep Bitter, Peter. I've brewed the Graham Wheeler recipe a number of times but it always turned out lacking something. Progress are a hop I struggle with normally, but in this case it was probably down to the yeast used; S-04.

you need their yeast and you need to ferment in a Yorkshire stone square fermenter

Used Wyeast 1469 West Yorkshire, so similar type of strain.

They've gone stainless, 'rounds' now - very much open.

Going to try it again with a v loose FV lid in ferment fridge - reckon pressure from lid/bubbler effects yeast, needs space to breathe.
