Hello Everyone!

I am in Newbridge.
I myself Lithuanian, but I like beer too :D
Last year I finally decided that I can brew too.

I named it NBA - north american blode ale, second attempt.
Partial mash.

how did the first attempt work out?

First attempt is conditioning in bottles already 3rd week. I tried one bottle just week after bottling, tastes as young beer :)
Only bit surprised: beer cleared out, but atfer opening all sediment rised and I got cloudy beer in the glass.

what yeast did you use? it must be pretty loose sediment.
Is it very fizzy? make sure the next one's properly cold and it might help :)

I used WLP041 Pacific Ale yeast. Yes, this is first time I experienced such "loose" sediment. I guess that in this case could help some kind lagering in fridge for week...
And yes, I suspect beer might be on fizzy side. I will check it tomorrow.

My name is Arturas (that's Lithuanian for Arthur).
I discovered Ireland 11 years ago and stuck here.
Not long after arrival I found Porterhouse, then Dublin Brewing Company and some another yet forgot its name.
My brewing experience not big. About 20 years ago back at home I brewed "Christmas Ale" using yeast from local brewery, malt extract and jam (maybe black currant). Turned into strong bit sour drink like sweet wine. Well wasn't hopped.
Last year, after visiting Netherlands (thanks for Ronald's beer guide) I get inspired try homebrew myself. This time I started with Cooper's DIY Kit. After short while ready beer kits became boring, but have not enough room to mess with all grain. For now I practice little mash or steeping.
