didnt hear anything from folks. at least they didnt express interest when i brought it up

sub82

Yeah not at this stage - but would this be a regular thing?

CARA

Fraid not, the fella is only allocated a certain quota, he usually makes them into planters and the whole lot are sold on to garden centres. This may be a one off, and at the price I can't see it being matched again.

A wet barrel with a litre of 80% spirit will store for a fair old time if kept in a cool place - preferably humid.

Just need to turn around regularly to keep it wet.

How long will it keep like this - not sure buy hey we are the experimental cutting edge of brewing technology.

Its like breaking the sound barrier was in the mid 40s

These have come from .. so they all "have had" whiskey in them. When we checked a few dozen yesterday one had lost its bung and had no whiskey wetness, no smell of W, just a slight acetic smell.

What exactly do you want? A  manky BMills cask or some other cask that has not come from a W, distillery?

port, or some sort of red wine- even sherry. was just wondering really

hi tube

havent had an aged irs, but any 'whiskey' type beer I've ever had has been truly awful.  But that is because I hate whiskey! had way too much once and now even the smell makes me cringe.

shame, cos I used to love it!!

the best beers I've ever had are Russian River's sours which are finished in red wine barrels- so was just hoping!!

Try the Clothworthy Dobbin aged in whiskey barrel if you ever get a chance. Absolutely fantastic.

There are some really shite examples, true enough. That bourbon-based beer, the name escapes me, that was being launched at the ale fest in the RDS? Vomit.

Yeah they sell that clotworthy dobbin in the Hudson. Lovely stuff!
