4. Hingo (Stout & possibly Wheat beer)
Not sure if the wheat beer is going to be any use, it was originally meant to be a Witbier, except instead of Blanche Wheat Yeast, used Munich Wheat and I don't think it brought out the curacao/coriander seed flavours (Like in Hoegaarden) also it went more or an Paulaner color. Might have messed up the batch prime DME solution also..
I'll be there anyway
speak to Geoff in advance and he will reserve you the upper deck
Unfortunately I won't be able to make this one which is a damn shame since the Headline is so close to work. Damn holidays :P
i already had us booked in. i'll assume he know the best place to throw us

My first post on this forum! I will Post another one to introduce myself better when I get a chance.
So this is to let you know that I'll be there Tomorrow with two brews that can be qualified as "rough porter" and "flat red". You'll let me know what you think of them!
Looking forward to meeting you all.
See you tomorrow.
Clement
I gotta pull out unfortunately. Have a good one!

Lads at the meeting can you please decide whats is happening and when with the cask'o'dubbel?
Mrs D has been spoted lurking in the garage with a copy of "how to tap a keg 101"
Fend her off for 2 more weeks Will!
Hi everyone,
I am very new to this, but since I live in Rathmines 57 The Headline is a great location, so it would be great to meet some more beerthusiasts and see what else is out there in homebrewing!
Inspiration for this came from a recent trip to the US and trying some of the best IPA I ever had ("Heady Topper" by The Alchemist in Vermont) and then I saw "True Batch Brew" kits and picked one up in - what are the odds - 57 The Headline. Second and third batch are bubbling away at the moment.
I have finished my first batch of this four weeks ago and really enjoyed it and since have two bottles of that left I will bring one of them!

Update as I only brought my Amber ale.
Going to head straight from work. Do they do food or is there anywhere good for dinner nearby?
Think there is a pie and a pint for about €10 not sure about full meals. But there are places around as far as I remember
Ill be along with a light pale ale
There is a Muslim Brotherhood coffee shop on the opposite corner from the 57 if your looking for food :)
The pies don't cut it if you are looking for soakage!

That said, I'm having one out of sheer laziness.

Nice to meet you guys tonight, sorry I had to run, work commitments and all that, hopefully next time.
Score me 32. SCORE ME 32???? I made the NHC!
Good fun tonight, some great beers. Richies IPA was a revelation. Thanks to everyone who made me feel better about my poor showing in the competition.

Also congrats to Geoff on a great neighbourhood pub. I'd love if it was my local. The only fault is that its a long way from Raheny.

The best tasting session ive been at over the last few years. Brians amber was excellent along with richards weizen and hingos stout. All deserving of medals in the comp imo. Id buy them all if available.

Sure put up a thread for it, find my thread from last year and copy and paste. The process worked well so will probably do the same again.
