Will the scorecards for the competition be out before the tasting evening? Would be interesting to see how the people on the night score beers that were in the competition and compare them to the actual scores they received

mcgrath

Quote@delzep probably not... mammoth task, about 1,000 pages need to be scanned and emailed.

Quoteif u send me a copy i can print as many as u like..

Great!

From this page would you print maybe 100 of SCP_BeerScoreSheet_Checklist_Version.pdf and SCP_BeerScoreSheet.pdf, and then just maybe 5 of the rest, except the Cider one, you can leave that out.
Not too sure which page you mean, put I found two links on this page: http://www.bjcp.org/compcenter.php
I'll do prints of this:http://www.bjcp.org/docs/SCP_BeerScoreSheet.pdf
and this: http://www.bjcp.org/docs/Beer_checklist.pdf

If you give me direct links I can print some more..
Cheers.

I have bottles of beer from 3 premium kits that I brewed. I dont like them and am looking to shift them. I'll bring some tasters and if anyone likes them, they are welcome to take as many as they like. Could be to someone elses taste.
They are Muntons Gold Old English Bitter , Muntons Premium Gold Midas Touch Golden Ale and Brupaks Linwaite Light
Cheers..

Blueshed

if were going to taste and score some beers it might be a good idea to bring 2 btls of each beer.

im planning on making a cider next week and looking for a cider yeast if anybody had some to spare.

did somebody mention there giving away FREE btls of beer  :P

ColinC

I have some cider yeast I'll bring along.

And I only have 1 of each of the beers I'm bringing bottled  :'(

delzep

I'll have two bottles of my IPA and bitter

Can fit two of the bottles in my prize winning cooler bag  8-)

Bringing a Random Red....just an experiment in too much Special B.....125g in a 20L batch....well I'm assuming that's where all the sweetness is coming from, maybe someone can set me straight  :D

Anyone interested in some Line Cleaner? I Got a 5L drum for 60blips of this environmentally friendly stuff from a Cork company..It's good stuff.
Here's a link to a thread on boeir

10euro for a Litre....It'll make a 1000L of Line cleaning fluid, should be enough for a lifetime  :P

Nope, this link won't work either(I think there is some autodetection for that other forums links  ;))....If you just do a search for safecare on it, you'll find it.

Not a good idea to be keeping caustic chemicals around the house with kids (that is if you don't have a shed)
This stuff worked great on some sticky beer encrusted stuff I had...

If anyone has some old line with beerstone in it, could they bring along a piece, I'd be interested in testing this stuff to the max.

Great beers last night again.

My favourites were imark's double IPA, Delzep's IPA & Tube's Brambling Cross ale.

And whoever left a pair of glasses behind last night let me know. I have them & I'll get them back to you! (if you can read this....)  ;D

Very good night again lads, lots of banter and great beers brought by everyone, have to say my favourite 3 were imarks double IPA, ColinC's american pale ale and Tube's bramling cross ale ;D :).

imark

Another excellent meet up. Great host as usual.

Was surprised by the vintage nut brown ale. Not a style I'd go for and wouldn't have considered the secret ingredient but it's stored away in the memory banks for another time.

Would we like to pick a couple of styles to concentrate on for the May meet up? Could make it interesting to focus on techniques and tips.

Thanks to Alex, Magnethead and Dempsey for respective goodies they brought along for me to collect.
