My induction hob has no bother boiling the spuds dry! It's the same as using an adapter plate.

Anyway, there's nothing stopping you putting a cup of water into the pot if the hob is that finicky?

I don't think induction jobs can detect liquid inside pots? They work magnetically I believe.

Can't as I've an induction hob.

Put one of your induction pots on the hob and put the flask into it

OR why noy just use an induction cooking pot to boil the wort then pour the wort into a conical!
