Further to our announcement of ticket sales, I am also pleased to announce that we are going the NHC's first Club Night in the Banquet Hall after BrewCon. This is an idea that we have poached from the American Homebrewer's Association but on a smaller scale. The idea will be that alongside a selection of commercial craft beers we will have local clubs from all over the island pouring corny kegs of their own brews. We have had a great response already from the club reps with a large range of styles already proposed. Hopefully we'll have some great beers pouring and it will encourage lots of interclub mingling and a little bit of friendly rivalry too as there will be a prize for the best beer.
Each local club should get in touch with their club rep for more info on the beer your club will be bringing.
Fancy dress as per AHA?

Forgot to say would it help if we had our forum names on our ticket? I would love to put a face to a forum name?

The blond Ale at 7.09 to 7.23 looks tasty

I have my Brewcon ticket in the bag but for club members that can't attend Brewcon but are around after, will they be allowed in to this shin-dig?

Hello garciaBernal,
Sorry but unfortunately its for ticket holders only - due to a health and safety numbers limitation at the venue.

Understandable. Thanks.
We had a couple of folks just rock up last year to the beer part, entry to that element will be rigidly enforced by security this year as it's not fair for folks to walk in off the street in the evening v's those that have paid for a full days ticket.
Security with tazers
No definitely not these guys will be carrying pieces to shoot intruders.

It'd be the perfect clue if they were wearing sombreros >:D
Kilkenny are bringing a Belgian Blonde that we're brewing tonight. Hoping it turns out as well as the first time we brewed it.
Good sessionable beers would be cool
Wee County are brewing the Cat 21b Gold-winner NEIPA on Boyne Brewhouse's pilot kit. Is 6 kegs overkill?

I think I speak for everyone when I say no! Bring the whole lot!
Only 6?
Started brewing my club night beer the other night, a Mango Kettle Sour. Hoping it'll have hit its sweetsour spot and ready for the boil tomorrow.

My pH is down to 3.4 now....let the sour off begin!! Not sure its really fair to be putting a fast sour up against a slow, aged, complex style like a flanders but sure we can let Brandon Jones be the judge of that!
Anyone else brewing a sour for club night?
Must make sure I look the best when Brandon Jones gets to taste this beer and exclaims "Wow this is the best flanders red like ever". Looking the best is not for him ??? It's for the camera shots that follow. The Internet will explode and people will want to know who is the handsome intelligent man in the picture. :D

Who wants to judge the lovely brewer pageant?

Who wants to judge the lovely brewer pageant?
"Of course, they all have lovely bottom fermenting yeasts."
There's an idea for a competition, bottom fermented Ales and top fermented Pilsners
Wait a minute !!! That's a false bottom !!!
Lads - Longford brewers would like to bring along a couple of kegs. Anybody know how the logistics work on this for those of us travelling up that morning and heading home the next day? :)
Hi Bier,
I'll drop you a PM once I'm out of work this evening
