There is a YellowBelly (http://yellowbellybeer.ie/) tap takeover happening in Blackbird at 8pm on Thursday 29th September. Headbrewer Declan is from Derry and will be up pouring their fantastic beers.
Think that's as good as an excuse for us to have a meeting that day as well.
I have 2 beers cut from the same cloth to bring. One is a hoppy American Brown, the other is the same beer with a coffee addition. 7pm kickoff.
1. Thomas - American Brown, American Brown with coffee, golden ale.
Sounds ideal!ill do my utmost to be there!

2. Brendan - Cider (if it's ready), mangled up American Amber type thing (if it's any decent).
A few of us will be heading up on the train to the festival in Portrush a few days later, if anyone wants to join us.
I'll have a "Manchester style" bitter and poss an IPA and or Belgian wit all being well!!??
Oh SWEET! I'll be there! Might not have any brews ready, but I'll be there.

Had a good chat with Sarah the manager and she's keen to push craft beer more and is willing to take any suggestions of beers to stock as well.
Really? *Cough*
Any idea what beers they'll be bringing?
They're going to the Portrush Beer and Food festival the day after so I'm guessing it will be a decent range. Few sours definitely coming up anyway.
Beer list from Declan.
QuoteCitra sour, peach and pineapple sour, passion fruit sour, straight sour, citra pale ale, imperial English IPA and a lager.
The citra sour is 'From Whom the Sour Trolls'. It's outstanding.
Would love to lads but off touring France :-\
May be back though !
Julio has some ready, I'll touch base with him.
Yea, have a IPA on bottle.
Good stuff.

Good meet up and nice to see new faces. Really enjoyed the wit beer myself.
Thanks to YellowBelly as well for the samples. The lager was fantastic (75% pilsner, 20% munich, 5% wheat), one of the best I've ever had. Citra pale ale reminded me of one of my own hop bomb pale ales and the passionfruit sour was lovely but felt like I'd had the enamel scrubbed off my teeth. Up to the Portrush beer festival this evening so I'll do all again then. :P
