Title: Craft Beer Brewing Adult Education Evening Course
Post by: Dr Brown Ale on July 18, 2019, 09:36:34 PM
Hi all,

I've been tutoring an adult ed course in Portmarnock the last year, and it's starting up again in October.

It's a 6 week course over 8 weeks, and we do brew a beer, bottle and taste it, and we visit a brewery too.

It's a basic brewing course really, we learn about ingredients, techniques, equipment and tools.

We also do some tasting to introduce the student to what flavours malt, hops and yeast bring to the table when brewing.

We talk about sourcing ingredients and how to build recipes.

It's a fun, hands on course, very informal, but at the end everyone will have the knowledge and the experience of one brewday to get them started on their brewing journey.
