I'm still getting topic notifications for the old thread so if anyone is posting anything in there that is directed at me, I can't read it.

I can see I'm not marked as paid here. I hope that doesn't mean anything 'cos the money's gone out of my account!
Can someone check that the money arrived ok?

QuoteChris, you're paid up.

Do we owe VAT or duty due on the mills Paul?

In the price calculation it was assumed we would be charged 23% VAT and an An Post admin fee.  First box arrived tax free so fingers crossed for the others, in which case everyone will have overpaid.

I'm planning on making a GRP hopper for mine same similar to the one I made for my converted pasts roller. It should clip on and off for easy storage. Once I have a mould I could make as many as anyone wants. Should be cheap enough too depending on demand.

Nope, all tax free :)

I'm guessing because they came as four separate shipments, they are under the threshold for tax.

What is the plan for distribution?
Since you are in portmarnock Paul, I can collect for the Liffey Brewers, cause I work near Swords.
Please advise.

Ok if anyone wants in on that, please confirm and I will arrange with Snuff.

If city centre works better for anyone, I can also leave mills at my office reception on Thomas st for collection.

Down2die has requested that I leave his mill with Tube.

The company i work for has recently opened an office in Dublin, so if someone could drop them in there i might be able to get someone to drop them down here.

I'm trying to find out exactly where it is (its that new lol) and if its ok to get small stuff dropped in there. Larger items would be out though as i think the guys in there would be traveling in and out by public transport.

I am still on my first kit so forgive the intrusion ::) My suggestion would be food grade stainless steel or food grade polycarbonate. Personally i would go with the polycarbonate as its easier to repair if it cracks which is unlikely anyway,it is way lighter but still plenty tough and as far as i can remember its cheaper to build a custom piece. You could also build the base from polycarbonate which would make the whole unit solid but light.

If someone gives me dimensions i can price a stainless and maybe a poly version locally from the crowd that made the Dublin spire. They frequently have odds and ends from big projects so i can see what can be done,NO PROMISES ;D

Ask Ciderhead in that thread, he might be collecting stuff next week.

Plan B  is  sort of  jump in the car and drive, I don't want to clog up someone else's gaff, not do I want to  wait  that long.
If I spin up Sunday will that work for you Shane?
Other than that I could do an evening trip during the week,  but it sounds like that doesn't suit.
