What's the difference between a brewery disinfectant and the DIY milton/vinegar/water mix?
Not being smart here, I'm pretty new to this and just discovered the above DIY alternative to commercial sanitisers, and just forked out €3.something on a bottle :-[

No idea, but at €10/l ,I wouldn't mind finding out.
I started with Starsan, which is great. I've been using bleach and vinegar lately which seem to work fine (and is stupidly cheap with tesco thin bleach and spirit vinegar)
It just seems silly not to try it, that's all. For a tenner? Go on!
Was reading the group buy post and it seems that getting an proper bottle to hold this stuff is important. Anybody got any ideas on this?

Cheap centra bleach bottles for 70 cents, dump the bleach and rinse out ?
Sounds good! I'm sure we all have an odd beer bottle laying around too.
