Just to check if there will be any interest in getting those...

Where would they be coming from?
QuoteWhere would they be coming from?
Poland
They are brand new and have been charred.
It's even possible to order it with engraved logo.
I bet they'd be awesome if you are into RIS.

That's my plan :)
QuoteOrigin of the oak?
I gather there are only 3 sources, American, French, and something else (no, not Polish!)
It could be polish oak. Oak is a very popular and common tree in Poland
Do you know if they also include the stands?
QuoteDo you know if they also include the stands?
Have to check it, but they are adverting this as a 'set' so I think that stand is included.

Yonks ago I bought new Chestnut barrels from an English supplier for wine and port. The stillage and taps were extra.
I picked chestnut as they were a little less oaky than Oak ( dohh! )
I bought a 4.5 Gallon and a 6 Gallon Still have them!
They are always charred ( can't make them without that ) but they can be waxed on the inside if required.
Waxing allows for a more gentle flavour release.
Wax can be removed later with boiling water!

I would be cautiously interested...
I've been eyeing some up on ebay, but shipping costs keep ruining my plans :(
Brand new oak scorched barrels with spigots which will be inserted on request 15 litres 140 euro delivered. Is that good :o
Could you age a kit wine in these barrells or has some sort of aging agent been added to the concentrate before its kitted? I may be interested in these if I could age some wine for 6 months or so
Howya lads,
I might be interested in this in the future but I've come across these lads after a fella in work used their gear for aging whiskey.
The thing is they've already been used for whiskey which would be great for a stout etc.
Have a look and see what you think.

Not true. Always keep them full of drink or just water with a bit of bisulphite in.
To clean, throw in a length of brass chain swirl, drain, rinse, repeat.
This does NOT work for 36 gallon barrels!!
I think Kavanagh's have one of these. Anyone know what is in it?
I'd be interested in them. I reckon the shipping could be very high although ;D

Solves that so....
I think I'm allergic to bisulphite though
You can rinse out the bisulphite just before you fill it!!
Is this idea dead in the water or what? Has anybody looked into it any further?
Looks like it's dead. However, we got few empty whiskey barrels :P
