Now I know who is to blame for all this barrel anguish ;)
Idea was planted by others ::) Still thinking about getting a small barrell just for myself ...

Not true. Always keep them full of drink or just water with a bit of bisulphite in.

To clean, throw in a length of brass chain swirl, drain, rinse, repeat.

This does NOT work for 36 gallon barrels!!

I'd be interested in them. I reckon the shipping could be very high although  ;D

Solves that so....

I think I'm allergic to bisulphite though

Will_D

You can rinse out the bisulphite just before you fill it!!

Is this idea dead in the water or what? Has anybody looked into it any further?

Looks like it's dead. However, we got few empty whiskey barrels :P
