Was in Bradley's in Cork earlier and picked up a Brewdog Russian Imperial stout. Lovely stuff. What are peoples recommendations out there (excluding barrel projects!) for imperial stouts?  Colder nights, need to be drinking something warm!
drinking - Brown porters (plain/oak aged/vanilla)
conditioning - American Amber (Jamil's evil twin)
Fermenting - air

Porterhouse Celebration is excellent and should be pretty widely available in offies.

I love Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout. Had it on the bjcp course. Second favourite beer!

Mikkeller - George!
Mikkeller - Beer Geek Breakfast
Wild Beer Company - Wildebeest
Rogue - Double Chocolate Stout
Porterhouse - Barrel Aged Celebration Stout

Bubbles

For me it has to be the Nogne imperial stout. Amazing stuff.

Great Divide - Oak Aged Yeti is gorgeous.

Thornbridge Saint Petersburg is pretty great!! Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout is also fantastic.

Alex Lawes

Barrel aged is 11% dude.
Still miles better than this weak offering from Sierra too.

It's not an imperial stout (13F) though, it's more of a foreign extra (13D).

Imperial stout really needs to be 8% or above, and ideally even stronger.

The whiskey version was about 11%. The original version was 10% I think (I still have a bottle of it  8))

Eoin

Yeah just over 7,that's about my limit and I love the stuff.

Normal Celebration is 7%. Barrel aged is 11%. Both world class.

Den Molen's Rasputin with Bruchladich whiskey malt was fantastic. Brilliant brewery for imperial stouts. Drinkstore used to carry some of their beers but unfortunately they don't seem to any more.

Courage RIS is the original and it's really fantastic as well. Not exactly a lite beer though.

That's me mates laptop. I prefer his earlier stickers.
