Spiders and Filters

Here is a place in Utah for nifty filters and spiders

Will and I were talking and here is the products that seem to have most interest (all 300 micron)

1: Corney Kegs dry hopper
2: Better bottle dry hopper
3: Braumeister hop spider
4: 6 X 14 inch Hop Filter
5: 6 X 19 inch Hop Filter

Will and myself are hoping to bulk order on certain items to save money - so if you could order the above it would be easier.
There is 300 and 400 micron. The 400 are good enough for flowers and 300 is needed for pellets. The company seem to mainly deal with 300 as pellets are the norm these days.

We can add or remove products depending on interest.

We wont know pricing until we know numbers and get a deal from this crowd.

James

Think I'd prefer the 19" one to reach deeper into the keggle when I'm doing a smaller batch...

Is it!?....  I saw a 6x19 filter for $95.... Also saw a 6x19+corny spider for $136.       (The 14" one is $75)

Will_D

Link 5 does in fact take you to the combo page. But as there are a lot of combinations I suggest we think that its just a longer spider and do what I did and order the spider and the corny hopper we will make sure its the combo that gets ordered.

There are SO many bits of kit on their pages we are just try to limit the options to keep it simple. Special requests may be considered later!

@James: Maybe edit the link so its the same page as #4?

Yeah it was hard jumping between their page and this page on the mobile. I might have missed something.

There's loads of combos, the reason I wasn't pushed about the corny spider is the cheaper alternative of, fine mesh bag, marbles, fishing line. :) the spider is a nice looking bit of kit though.

I do specifically want the 19" one to suit when I'm doing 25l batches in the keggle... Don't think the 14" one would make it down into the wort?   I'm not near my keggle though so can't measure.

What about 6" x 14" Stainless Keg "Keggle" Brewing Filter (Outside Hook) 300? Possible to add it? If so count me in for 1 and for 1 cornie dry hopper

molc

Same as montofk, I'm planning a keggle with 25L boils, so getting a longer one to be sure. Actually when we get closer to ordering, it would be great if you could ask them the recommended filter for a keggle with 5G batches, as that would sort a few of us out I'd say.

Just to be sure to be sure:

Hops float!

So a 10" spider with 4" of hops will be exactly the same as an 18" spider with 4" of hops. You only need the longer ones if you are doing massive leaf additions. If you are going massive then increase the diameter!

Yeah just need enough of the spider to be in the wort for the size of the kettle. They have keggle specific ones on the site, just unsure which to get. Well figure it out once prices come in anyway.
