Not all BJCP styles are readily available in Ireland.
Commercial beers in certain styles are often not authentic, stale, or just never get imported.
It's important for both brewers + judges to know what a typical example of a style tastes like.
The NHC therefore is hosting its first tasting session to calibrate against commercial beers.
There will be 4 or 5 hard-to-find styles sampled - no homebrew! - with notes and discussion of each.
Judges will have time to score each beer if they so choose.
Styles will be announced closer to the time.
The session will take place on Thursday, December 19, at T O'Brennan's, Dublin at 6.30pm.
There is no fee for attending, but numbers are strictly capped and restricted to full NHC members + Nationals judges due to the amount of beer available.

If this is successful + people are interested, we'd hope to run future sessions outside Dublin.

After a reread, I see it may not just be for the qualified judges... I'll put my name down anyway.

Priority given to full NHC members looking to attend ?
Requirement!
Since the Club is paying for the beers, it's Club members only - no guests/friends/+1s.
The only exception is past Nationals judges who plan to judge again this year.Just not fair on dues-paying members to do it any other way.
Sorry if that's an inconvenience to anyone.
I've amended the OP to say so...
