'View most recent posts' button

One for the mods i suppose,
Wouldn't it be better if this button brought up a list of the most recently updated threads?
It's always where I go first and if one thread has a lot of activity I just get a page full of updates to a single thread. It also means a thread can get pushed off the first page very quickly and I don't know about others but I don't tend to go past the first page unless I'm looking for something specific.

Where do you see 'View most recent posts'?

I typically read messages in this order...
'Show new replies to your posts' - Clicking on 'New' to read the most recent replies.
'Show unread posts since last visit.' - again clicking on 'New' to read the most recent replies to anything of interest.
Then 'Mark all messages as read'

I jump from device to device, so can miss posts, so I click on 'Click here to try all unread topics.'
(This appears in place of the Column Headings when there are no unread posts)
