We are starting a monthly series of virtual homebrewers meetups, and the first open session (after a practice run last month) will commence at 8:00 PM Wednesday 28th April.

Subsequent meetups will run on the last wednesday of the month at the same time.

These sessions will be a bit more content focussed than a normal face to face homebrewers meetup, and the aim is to have a different presentation, a discussion theme, or a series of lighting presentations every month.

There will also be a news roundup, and an opportunity for regional brewing communities to announce any cool stuff that they are doing.

Agenda:
8:00 arrive, say hi, some introductions
8:15 National News
8:20 News from around the country
8:30 Presentation: Big Batch Brew in a Bag
9:00 Attendees Q&A (please submit questions in chat or in advance)
9:30 End of formal meeting. Video session can continue to let people chat away.

If you are struggling to get the login password (its encrypted in the link, but many people struggle with it) etc. Its best to message us on discord (discord handles here: https://discord.com/channels/782548558435450891/807224148165918770/831200858409533490) . You can PM me here on the forum, but I may miss those once the meeting has started.

Just bumping this. We are on at 8, presentation finished. And we will be looking for volunteers for future talks and presentations.

I have had a fair bit of time to work on my presentation 20+ slides, I wouldnt ask volunteers to go that big in future. In fact, I would go completely the opposite direction - 2-5 slides, delivered quickly, and we can run multiple presenters one after the other. AKA lighting talk format - easy to prep, you probably have everything you need in your phone photos.

Stupid question but is this for anyone to join or do you have to have any particular type of NHC membership? Cheers

I dont see a downside to having it open to people who have no NHC affiliation whatsoever. We didn't intentionally keep the zoom private or anything.

Everyone was great actually. Post presentation discussion was really good, and everyone just 'got it' and allowed time for people to speak, interjected the odd time, but the discussion really flowed. Very happy with this. Will post up presentation video and any interesting notes as soon as I can, which is likely to be over the weekend.
