Hi guys,

Just wondering, can a newbie enter with an extract homebrew? I'll be steeping grains, but I'll not be doing all grain.

Also, if you're beer is not placed, do you get any feedback on it? Tasting sheets etc.?

Yes, depending on the judge, you'll probably get some excellent feedback on your beer. Most judges are also experienced home brewers who can suggest practical ways to improve your beer. The feedback will be in the form of the standard BJCP scoresheet. There's an example in this thread here:

Doh! I better try to get my RIS into some 500ml bottles and out of that mini keg before I forget!
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter
