Title: Malt extracts mentioned in BCS
Post by: bighoppapump on February 11, 2018, 01:50:30 PM
I have done several kits over the last few months and am looking to do my first extract brew shortly. I have been reading brewing classic styles and he mentions English pale ale lme and munich lme. After a bit of googling last night, I found out that the Maris Otter LME by Muntons is the best option to use for the English pale ale extract and I found it for sale online. I can't find anywhere in Ireland selling Munich LME and Jamil says not to substitute it with pale lme. Does anyone know where I can pick it up or have any suggestions as to what I can use as a substitute for Munich lme?

Weyermann has it, just don't know where to find it in Ireland

Maybe You can use partial mash in hop bag some munich malt.
Edit:
Found it... but out of stock.
