I'm looking at brewing the I'm Not Bitter I'm Thirsty recipe from Brewing Classic Styles.
It's and English bitter and the recipe calls for some crystal 120. I couldn't find this on any of the Irish companies so I ordered some grains with similiar colour profiles. I'm planning on brewing in the next few days and I have 3 potential candidates to use.
1. Chateau Special B (300 EBC)
2. Weyermann Special W (250-300 EBC)
3. Crystal (250 EBC) - http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/crystal-crushed-grain-250-ebc-500g-p-1300.html

According to this chart I should go with one of the first 2 options as the 3rd option is closer to 90L. Anyone with some practical experience have any advice/suggestions on which to use?Cheers, Phil

Special W is supposed to be a match but TBH I'd use the crystal 250 Ebc...
thats a very useful tool!
Thanks for that!

That crystal 250 is only listed under Finland in Brewer's friend app.
Are we brewing another champion?

Cheers Pheel, I think I'll go with the crystal 250 EBC then! Anyone particular reason you recommended this one? Is it closer in flavour?

Well it's as close to crystal 120L that you'll get. I can't speak to the other options as I've not tried them myself
