Title: RIP Andrew Moore
Post by: James on July 24, 2020, 07:30:00 PM
Sadly Andrew Moore passed away yesterday morning of a heart attack. For all those that knew him, Andrew was a pillar of the craft beer community here as well as a huge advocate of home brewing nationwide. Some of you might know him from judging competitions through the years or his volunteering at festivals. Thoughts and prayers with his wife and two girls.

He was an absolute gent. Really put the effort into promoting craft beer & homebrewing in Ireland.

He also helped out with the BJCP training courses over the last 3/4 years & also at BrewCon last year with his off-flavour sessions.

He will be truly missed & there will be a big gap of knowledge & passion that will be hard to fill.

Heartfelt condolences to his wife & daughters that he always lovingly talked about whenever you'd grab a pint with him.

With WillD, the NHC have recently lost two of their most committed, long standing & generous members.

It would be rather fitting to raise a glass or two this weekend and to remember their legacies.

Such a massive loss to the home brewing & craft beer community.

Nicest guy you will ever meet.
Will be massively missed by so many people.

This is very sad news. From the few times that I met him he was always very welcoming and knowledgeable.
