Title: Water treatment
Post by: Mossy on April 04, 2021, 10:38:36 PM
Does anyone around here add any chemicals to their brewing water as a matter of course without having a water report to hand?
Is there anything I could add each brew day that could improve my beer without knowing the exact chemical make up of the brewing water?
I brew in two different places in Dublin so according to water.ie the water comes from either 'ZONE 1 BALLYMORE' or 'ZONE 2 BALLYBODEN'.
Cheers

Easiest was is to start with RO water and build whatever water profile you want out of it. Takes all the guess work out if it.

Yeah I've thought about RO water but from what I've read only about 1/3 of the water put into the system is actually comes out as RO. It seems a bit to wasteful on the water side for me.

Depends how big your garden is.
