Title: O'Hara's
Post by: Rats on March 29, 2014, 03:36:11 PM
I'm a big fan of their PA and when I saw today they have a "Double IPA" I got one to give it a try.
Nice color in the glass and then........ :-[ no small of hops(label said dry hop as well).
Strange bitterness to it and really disappointed  >:(  I could not finished my glass had to dump the last 11/2" after I topped my glass up with white lemonade half way through it.(payed for it so had to suffer).
I tasted a lot of DIPA's at the NCB's meetings and they were GOOD/EXCELLENT.

Just my 2c
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. :P

Agree. It's not a beer I'd buy a second time.

I liked it, but from a beer style perspective it's another example of an irish commercial brewer not getting the whole american ipa / hops thing.

If you think of it as an english ipa it's not half bad.

Hate to think what an irish commercial bipa would be like (blacks excepted).
