Title: Improv fermeter chamber cooler
Post by: dcalnan on May 18, 2015, 06:34:56 PM
My usual spot for fermenting has been a bit hotter than usual lately, and was causing my English ipa to ferment at 24 degrees  I wanted around 20, leaving the door open wasn't helping much so I knew I needed to have a mechanical intervention. I remembered that we have 2 electric coolboxs for the car and they weren't used much so I took off the door replaced it with a scrap piece of osb we had in the shed, cut out a hole and stuck the chiller part on the door with double sided tape, it does the trick cooled the chamber to 20. It'll do for the short term until I build a proper fermentation chamber soon.
