Boiling foreign objects - dumb mistake

I dumped a couple of hundred grams of Dried Wheat Extract from a Ziploc bag into the boil to smooth out my APA....
...except the label from the original bag was in with the powder.  :-[

This little square of plastic and printed paper was in the pot for the *entire boil* - I only found it when I strained.

Will it affect the taste? Is it dangerous? Do I dump the batch?

Garry

The dose makes the poison. If you were to eat that label as it is, it wouldn't kill you. The beer will be fine.

Leann ull

Nah the plastic won't kill you as the LDPE used for film on those is generally food grade, the ink and the gum on the label not so sure, can only guess it would have settled out or volatilised and the percentages are tiny so nothing to worry about.

RichC

It'll probably kill you stone dead. If you need to get rid of it I can take if off your hands

It could be the best beer you've ever made.
Do exactly the same thing next time!

I was thinking the same, a centra bag or two next time
