Great beer and great to see someone try that recipe. Been tempted myself to give that one a go.

CH, do you do a 90 min boil when you sub pilsner for 2 row? Been using pale ale malt myself, but thinking of trying the American way on the next IPA.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

It was Dempsey that told me that years ago after a discussion he had with a US brewer I believe, and he was right, I'm sure he will be along in a minute to tell the story ;)

Task tsk no minch on yere chart ;)

Might give it a go with honey malt and minch lager to see how it turns out. Have a few brews planned first so will be a while though.

I'm a little sceptical about that based on hoppy beers I've made with pilsner malt. I found that the pilsner malt character can't stand up to high levels of bitterness and hop flavour the way a standard pale malt can. But then, it might just be my crappy recipes..
