Evening all, I think I've had a bit of a disaster.

Started cold crashing a beer yesterday but never checked what the fridge was set to. Zero is the answer  :-[

My beer is now like a 20L slush puppy. about 75% frozen.

Is it ruined or should i just let it thaw out and bottle it?
I've sanitized a knife and broken it up a bit

This had happened to some of my beer before. I just let it thaw and drank it (it froze in the keg)

I think it lost something but was still a decent beer to drink.

"It'll be grand"
That's how I won a medal in nationals one year

Let it come back up slowly and you'll end out with beer like this

LordEoin

skim out the ice and make an eisbier!

Simon_

I've done it a few times. I just let it thaw and it was none the worse. Made an Eisbock on one of these occasions

IIRC, John Palmer in "How to Brew" did exactly the same thing. He let it thaw and it turned out fine  :)
