I have never used this. Has anyone else? Any thoughts?

I like the idea of having an emergency sachet of this as I find the WLP830 doesn't last too well in the fridge.

On a German forum I used to frequent it was their standard lager yeast. It appears they were quite happy with it.

I used it in a recent German pils. Its kegged and lagering at the moment and I'm very happy with the results. Clean and low diacetyl. It also attenuated quite well, but the beer is still nicely malty. Definitely recommend it. First lager so I've nothing to compare it to but I can't fault it.
You cannot beat the convenience of dried yeast!

Never tried Saflager W-34/70 but I have tried the Saflager S23.
Far as I remember (was about 3 years ago), the result was fine. Haven't bothered trying to do a lager since then.
