Question on lager

Hi
The lowest I can get my fridge to is 7 deg C. Is that too high for the post fermentation lagering of a lager or would I get away with it?
Cheers

I'm only getting into brewing lagers, my first batching is fermenting away at the moment, so I'm no expert.

According to John Palmer "colder lagering temperatures seem to produce a smoother beer than warmer temperatures. This would seem to be due to the additional precipitation and settling of extraneous proteins (like chill haze) and tannins that occur at lower temperatures."

I'd imagine at 7C you will be waiting a long time for the beer to be properly lagered, it may not even be possible at that temp.

Best of luck with it either way!
