Hello Kildare-brewers....hoping some of you are still active around here...?

Do any of you have a water filter for brewing? After filtering the water has an unpleasant metallic/ bitter flavour. Flavour lingers and hits near the back of the throat and back sides of the mouth. Is this normal for local filtered water, for filtered water in Ireland?

The water filter is a 5 stage reverse osmosis system. New filters - with water run through them.

I had a 5 stage before, in another country, and the water out then was pretty much flavourless.

Measurements I made:
pH pre-filtered 7.53, post 6.89 (pH meter could do with a re-calibration)

TDS pre-filtered ~268, post ~7
