Hi all, I have made some cider from asda juice. Now here is my yearning question. How can I carbonate the cider without using my soda stream.

I don't intend to bottle it but want to keep it in the demi-jon. I have it in the fridge at the moment and about half of it (yummy as it is ) left.

Thanks in advance

A demi-jon will not hold up to much pressure if you try to carbonate in it. You will need to put it in a sealed container and chill it to 2 C and add the co2 then.

Would something like a Tom caxton plastic pressure barrell work ? Only thing is I would need to make around 23 litres to make it worth while.
