Now this sounds like a competition I should enter ;D
Any chance there will be a pickup point in Dublin for this? (CH, I'm looking in your direction.. sure you love driving chief.. ;) )
Hmm I've never made an English ale....
Talk to me on Thur 30th! ;)
We're looking into doing drop points, nhc express or the possibility of using a DPD account at the moment. Hope to give more details when we have something worked out.
What categories exactly are going to be used for the comp?
Still finalising categories and will have them confirmed very soon.
Categories accepted for the competition:
BJCP 2015 Style Guidelines (http://www.bjcp.org/docs/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf)
11. British Bitter
13. Brown British Beer
17. Strong British Ale
Each entrant is limited to one entry per sub-style.
2 x 500ml bottles per entry.
I'm on the third generation of some wyeast West Yorkshire . Hopefully I can keep it going for a few more!
Ah nuts!
I was hoping category 16 would have been included? (even though its a stout)
That date is really tight for using homegrown hops :-\

We are planning on changing the date until later in the year (most likely the end of November). The original date clashes with the rugby world cup semi finals. We're waiting on confirmation from the venue but hope to announce very soon.

It was felt that stouts weren't representative of English Ales so they haven't been included.
Will either 12A. British Golden Ale or 12C. English IPA be included in this competition?
Sorry man no :-X - hoping to make an announcement of the categoriesin the next few days.
